LookMag is a magnetic device used for the physical treatment of water, from the point of view of inorganic encrustations, reducing or eliminating the need for chemical products, providing significant economic and environmental benefits.
The technology used in LookMag modifies the morphology of scale formation, making difficult for the encrustation to adhere to the surface of the materials, with a large part of it being dragged away by the flow. Furthermore, LookMag makes it possible to remove carbonate scale, shifting the balance of CaCO3 formation in the same direction as the chemical reagents, promoting the removal of this salt slowly and gradually.

Scale
Scale can be defined as chemical compounds of an inorganic nature, initially soluble in saline solutions and which precipitate and can accumulate on the surface of equipment and pipes, generating losses in efficiency and production. Scale is one of the biggest causes of problems regarding the maintenance and operation of equipment in industry.
LookMag promotes water treatment, minimizing the process of scale formation, providing greater operating time for equipment without inappropriate stops for maintenance due to scale and keeping the process without production fluctuation.

TECHNICAL DATA
LookMag's technology is the generation of a magnetic field generated by NdFeB magnets, which are the most advanced on the market, with a degree of magnetization as N35, N52 and others. Thanks to its construction design and the available versions, it allows for great application versatility and guarantees greater integrity in more aggressive environments, withstanding high working temperatures of up to 170ºC.
The magnetic field intensity presented by LookMag presents versions with values of 3800 G and 8000 G.

INSTALLATION
LookMag It is installed on the outside of the pipe, in pairs, in a non-intrusive way and without operational interruption, without direct contact with the fluid and without changing its chemical composition. Fixing the LookMag is held by quick-adjusting nylon clamps.
After installation, LookMag must be covered with Etaflon (expanded polyethylene blanket with aluminized polyester) or rock wool, providing greater protection to the device.
SIZING
The quantity of LookMag is designed according to: the diameter; the length of the pipeline; water flow; the presence of accidents on the stretch (curves, valves, etc.); the ionic composition of the aqueous medium; and temperature. The table below presents an estimate of pairs of LookMag for scale prevention.
The table below provides an estimate of pairs of LookMag according to the diameter used and a suggested arrangement (lines of LookMag and how many pairs per line).

It should be noted that this estimate refers to a mild to moderate condition of fouling potential (ionic composition and temperature) for a straight section approximately 200 meters long. For more severe scenarios and/or with more accidents in the pipeline, an increase of around 50% of this quantity is recommended.
